What we can do right now.

I come from a really small town in Canada. Because of where I grew up, I didn’t have a lot of exposure to different cultures. I’ve moved to a bigger city and try to learn (and unlearn!). Everyday, I try to do better (Know better, do better). This morning, I woke up with a really heavy heart and hoped that everyone in the protests, the riots, the rebellions are safe. And they’re not. We’re seeing the pictures and hearing the stories. Peaceful protesters, children, senators are being maced, shot and arrested. Media is being arrested or told they can’t report on what is happening.

Canada isn’t better. Sometimes we like to think we are… we must keep pushing to get there.
